These are the Terms of Service and Use for ExpatGreece.gr (“the Site”), a networking site for foreign and dual nationals living in Greece. The site is owned and operated by Pure White Consulting Limited, Company No: 06894509, Registered in England and Wales (the “Owners”). By accessing or using the Site at www.expatgreece.gr, you (the “User”, “you”) signify that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Use (“the Agreement”) even if you are not a registered member of the Site.

The Agreement may be modified, at our sole discretion, at any time without prior notice. If we do make any changes to the Agreement they will be posted on this web page along with the date of the revision. If you continue to use the Site after the revision, you will implicitly agree to, and accept, the revised Agreement. You are responsible for checking the Site to see if the Agreement has been altered.

In the Agreement, “Materials” are deemed to include any information included on your profile page, any comment posting made on the site, the uploading of any document or file in any format including text, audio and video, postings of advertisements or business profiles, messaging between you and another member, or any other content you create whilst using the Site.

Things you must do

You must do the following, or you will be in violation of the Agreement:

• Provide accurate, up-to-date, profile and contact information when registering on the Site
• Ensure that you keep your logon details to the Site secure, and change them or notify us immediately if you suspect that they have been compromised
• Keep your profile and contact information on the Site up-to-date
• Be entirely responsible for all use of your account and for all actions that take place using your login information.
• Be respectful in your postings and uploads of Materials to the Site, and be respectful of the Materials posted and uploaded by other members.

Things you must not do

You must not do any of the following, or you will be in violation of the Agreement:

• Register or access the Site if you are under 18 years of age
• Register a member account on behalf of another person
• Register more than one member account
• Impersonate another member, or falsely state or misrepresent yourself
• Attempt to use the account of any other member on the Site
• Harass, threaten, abuse or otherwise cause offence or disturbance to any other member
• Upload or post any Material other than in English or Greek, unless uploading or posting to a group designated to your native language
• Upload or post any Material to the Site that will violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party including copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy or other personal or proprietary rights
• Upload or post any Material to the Site that the Owners constitute as harmful, hateful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, infringing, vulgar, offensive, racist, abusive, harassing, inflammatory, obscene, pornographic, fraudulent or unlawful
• Upload or post any Material to the Site that is of a form of solicitation, such as but not limited to junk mail, chain letters, multi-level marketing schemes or unauthorised advertising
• Upload or post any Material to the Site that contains a virus, trojan or other computer software that may be harmful to the Site’s security, data, functionally or operation
• Upload or post any Material to the Site that might encourage or provide instructions for an illegal act in any jurisdiction globally.
• Attempt to access restricted sections of the Site without valid login details, or using any method other than the login form provided
• Collect the email addresses or other contact information of other users of the Site, electronically or by another means for the purposes of spending spam (unsolicited) communications

The Owners of the Site may

• Review, amend or delete any Material that you upload or post to the Site without notice
• Issue a warning to you, suspend or delete your member account to the Site in the event of any action by you that the Site administrations consider to be a violation of the Agreement. An account may be suspended or deleted for violation without notice.

User generated content license

By uploading or posting any Material to the Site, you grant the Owners the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display such Material (in whole or part) worldwide and / or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed, all subject to the terms of any applicable license. However, at no time do the Owners claim ownership of, or intellectual property rights to, your Material.

You can remove any Material you upload or post at any time and in doing so this license will expire.

Third party content

The Site allows members to upload or post third party Materials and to link to third party sites. The Owners do not investigate, monitor or check for accuracy, completeness or appropriateness any third party Materials or links. The Owners are not responsible for any third party content accessed through the Site or for any third party Materials uploaded to, or posted on, the Site.

The Owners are further not responsible for the opinions, accuracy, offensiveness or privacy issues surrounding any Materials uploaded or posted by any member. All views and opinions expressed by members to the Site through any uploading or posting of Materials are those of the posting member and the posting member alone, and the Owners do not endorse any such Materials.

If you decide to access any third party Materials, or third party site, or to follow, act upon, heed or forward any Materials that you find upon the Site you do so entirely at your own risk.

Backup

Whilst the Site is backed up, you are entirely responsible for maintaining backup copies of any Material you upload and post and the Site makes no warranty and accepts no liability for any loss whatsoever.

Copyright Breaches

The Owners treat any breaches of copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights seriously. If you have reason to raise a complaint against the Site for such a breach, this should be done according to the instructions on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

Upon receiving a formal notification, the Owners will investigate the complaint and take the appropriate action that may include removing the infringing material and terminating the account of the infringing member.

Member Disputes

You are entirely responsible for your interactions with other members of the Site. The Owners are not under any obligation to monitor any disputes that you might have with another member.

User Indemnity

You are entirely responsible for any Material that you upload or post to the Site. You indemnify and hold harmless the Owners from and against all Claims and Losses arising from loss, damage, liability, injury to the Owners employees, workers and third parties, infringement of third party intellectual property, third party losses by reason of or arising out of posting or uploading of Materials or other cause generate by you within or without the scope of this Agreement. 'Claims' shall mean all demands, claims, proceedings, penalties, fines and liability (whether criminal or civil, in contract, tort or otherwise); and 'Losses' shall mean all losses including without limitation financial losses, damages, legal costs and other expenses of any nature whatsoever.

Disclaimer

The Owners are not responsible or liable in any manner for any Materials uploaded, posted or caused by the Site’s members to the Site. Whilst members of the Site are bound by this Agreement, the Owners do not control or monitor and are no responsible for the actions of site members and any Materials they may upload, post or cause that might be deemed harmful, hateful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, infringing, vulgar, offensive, racist, abusive, harassing, inflammatory, obscene, pornographic, fraudulent, unlawful or otherwise objectionable.

The Site will periodically be unavailable for maintenance or other unexpected reasons. The Owners are under no obligation to pre-warn the Site’s users and members of any downtime, nor are they responsible in any way for any inability to access the site.

The Owners accept no liability or responsibility whatsoever to any party for any inability to access the site, nor any loss, error, deletion, modification, unauthorised access or theft of any Materials posted by a member, nor any malfunction or harm caused to a Site user’s computer resulting from any Materials viewed or downloaded from the site for any reason including but not limited to computer viruses and trojans, nor for any personal injury or death resulting from any person’s use of the Site.

The Owners shall not be liable to any party in contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise for any loss, damage, costs or expenses of any nature whatsoever incurred or suffered of a direct, indirect or consequential nature including without limitation any economic loss or other loss of turnover, profits, business or goodwill as a result of any person’s use of the Site or any Materials posted on, or uploaded to it.

The Owner’s liability under or in connection with this Agreement whether arising in contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise howsoever, shall not exceed the sum paid by you for membership to, or advertising on, the Site or 500 Euro, whichever is the lower amount.

Miscellaneous

If any provision of this Agreement is invalid or inoperative under law, the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

Governing Law

The Agreement and these terms are governed by and should be construed in accordance with English law and the Owner and the user of the Site irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts in connection with any matter arising out of them.
